New Life Kids is a children's ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! Kids, birth through sixth grade, experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!
We Value Relationships
We desire that each child come to experience a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We also value our children's relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their small group leader and other children within the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow!
We Value Age Appropriateness
We are passionate about children learning about Jesus in a way they understand. Our environments and lesson materials are selected based on the physical, mental, and emotional needs of each child.
We Value Safety
We believe that safety is vital as families entrust us with their children each week. Therefore, every child's nametag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview, and state and federal background check.
We Value Creative Bible Teaching
The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God's word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.
We Value Fun!
Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can't wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus.
Early Childhood Ministry
Early Childhood: Nursery
Every child is special to us, and we count it a privilege to minister to
the smallest of children and their parents by providing safe, loving, and
quality childcare. We want our members and guests to take ease and enjoy
their worship experience as their child is cared for by a quality staff
member.
Whether a child is a nursing infant or a curious toddler, we aim to meet
his or her every need as we begin to introduce the Gospel message. We
offer classes at every service. Infants: Room 103, Toddlers: Room 104,
2's: Room 105, and 3's: Room 107.
Preschool & Kindergarten
The Preschool Ministries at New Life Christian Center offer a safe,
nurturing environment in which children, ages 4 to Kindergarten, learn
about salvation and Christ's special love for them. Children gain a
greater knowledge and appreciation of the work of Christ in their lives
through the media of stories, games,and arts & crafts. It is our desire
for children to fall deeply in love with Jesus and His Word which
proclaims him. We want every child to enjoy the learning experience as we
teach God's Word.
New Life Kids
Grade 1 – 6
Sunday Morning @ NLCC
It is our desire for New Life Kids to be an exciting time for kids to learn God’s Word in a way they can understand. It is important for the leaders and the children to foster loving and accepting relationships during their time together. To try to make this happen, we offer age appropriate classes during all three services:
• Grade 1 & 2 are in Room 110 (outside building)
• Grade 3 & 4 are in Room 111 (outside building)
• Grade 5 & 6 are in The Children’s Center, Room 108 (outside building)
Service times for New Life Kids are @ 8:30am, 10:00am, & 11:30am
Each service and each class is going to be a different, but enjoyable time for your child. The trained New Life Kids staff has added their own personality to the class, teaching Biblical truths in a fun and active manner! So, come to one service or to all services to experience a Sunday morning at New Life Christian Center. They’ll be begging to come back!
Awana is a Bible-centered ministry with the goal of reaching boys and girls (pre-school through grade 6), and their families, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. Awana is an acronym from 2 Timothy 2:15, "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." This enables the Bible teaching to be at a level a young person can understand, receive and apply in an environment of fun and enjoyment. The parents and leaders are excited about the impact this program is having on the children and their lives.
The goal of Awana is reached through four distinct parts. First, is Worship with our amazing Awana Band that comes and sings with our children with contemporary music for all to enjoy! Next, is the emphasis on memorization and understanding of key Bible verses during Handbook Time. During Council Time godly, trained leaders encourage and guide clubbers to develop a biblical view of how to know and serve God through conversation and connection. No club night would be complete without the high-energy Game Time. The wild and wacky games offered incorporate both individual and team competition, and unleashes a kid’s natural energy and enthusiasm.
This is a fantastic evening that no one should miss; so join us on
Wednesdays from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
